Description 

Established in 1983, Nysmith School for the Gifted is a family owned and operated private school in Herndon, Virginia. Serving over 600 students 3 years to eighth grade, the award winning program utilizes low student to teacher ratios, loving teachers, as well as diversified reading and math programs. The curriculum includes reading, math, science, computers, social studies, logic and foreign language daily. The emphasis of the school is on creative problem solving. Music, art, physical education, and communications classes are also an integral part of the program. The school believes in minimal repetition, whether in school or as homework. Summer camp, transportation, and childcare are available.
